Mailroom moderation
What is it?

This refers to the control which the group moderator can exercise over posts to Mailroom processes running in the group. Only administrators can set up new projects.

What's it for?

As moderator you can:

a) Manage responses or contributions from users (they may be members of the group or not, depending on whether the group and the portal are public). Moderators can choose from the following options:

  • Answer the user who has taken part in the process.
  • Print an item or contribution from a user.
  • Download a contribution from a user, selecting which fields you want to save.
  • Publish the contribution: if the process has been configured as public, the other members will be able to read contributions from users.
  • Not publish a contribution (either because it is incomplete or for any other justifiable reason).
  • Classify the results, using the descriptors provided.
  • Delete a contribution made by a user.

b) Manage the commonest responses available for a particular project; these responses save group moderators time when they have to answer respondents, as they are predefined.

c) Manage the descriptors which will be available to classify the group's Mailroom results.

d) Manage the statistics generated by each Mailroom process.

How do I use it?

1- Go to the group in which you are a moderator.

2- When you are in, go to the Mailroom you want to moderate by clicking on its name in the Content section (left menu).

3- You will then see the list of active projects and, under each project, 3 buttons: Manage, Published messages and Participate. Click on Manage to access the different management options.

4- You will find further information about managing mailroom processes at the following link: http://ecatalunya.gencat.net/mroom/help/ca/index_admin.html
