It refers to the control exercised by the group moderator over posts published or pending publication in the Forum.

This control is only effective if the group administrator has configured the Forum as "moderated". If it is so configured, when users start a new thread or respond to one which already exists, they will see the following message: “This post has to be approved by the moderator. Although it has been posted, it will not be visible until approved.”

The moderator can see all posts pending approval or pending publication.

The group moderator can:

• Approve posts by other members. Until the moderator approves them they will not be published. To speed up the work of approval, the moderator can:
• Approve all of a particular user's posts by default.
• Approve by default all posts about a specific topic in the Forum.
• Edit or delete existing posts.

1- Go to the group in which you are a moderator.

2- When you are in, go to the forum you want to moderate by clicking on its name in the Contents section (left menu).

3- When you access the main page of the forum as administrator or moderator, you will see the following message beside the different topics which have new posts: “[The post has answers awaiting approval]"

When you access the forum subject with new posts by other users, the platform shows the following 3 messages:

• Under the name of the topic: “[Enable automatic approval of posts about this topic]”: if you click on this link, all posts about the topic indicated will be published automatically and you will not need to approve them beforehand.
• Under the name of the user who has submitted the message: “[Approve this user automatically]”: if you click on this link, all posts submitted by this user will be published automatically and, as moderator, you will not need to approve them beforehand.
• Under the title of the message or item submitted by the user: “[Approve this post]”: if you click on this link, you will approve this individual post and it will be published automatically.
