a) Flash view:
1- Go to Main > Social network area > Knowledge network
2- The Flash view appears by default.
3- You will see an image like this:

4- If you click on the name of one of the members you can see in your network, a small window will open with basic information about the user: name, e-mail address, their personal tools and whether they are currently on line.
5- If you click on the user's photo, or the space for the photo if they do not have one, you will access the user's personal record, where you will find further information.
6- The system gives you the option of viewing the network in text format. Click on View network in text format , which appears at the bottom of the screen. You will see the network in this format:

If you click on the names of the different members, you will be able to see their personal records.
b) Java view:
1- Go to Main > Social network area > Knowledge network
2- From the menu on the left select Java view
3- If you position the cursor on a user's name, a small window opens with their details and a photograph (if available).
4- To see the proximity of your contacts, select the level from the pull-down menu. You will then be able to see your contacts graded from level 1 to level 5.
5- You can use the “Zoom” option to see details of your social network more clearly.
6- With the “Rotate” option you can rotate the network to bring each of the elements to the foreground in turn.
Note: To access this alternative view you need to have the Java plug-in component installed in your browser.
