What is it?

On this page we can see another member's personal details, access the information on their electronic visiting card (vCard), see whether they are on line, see their contacts and their personal tools.

What's it for?

To see the personal and contact details of other portal members.

From the Group members view (left menu), click on the name of the user whose personal page you want to view.

You can then:

• See their contact details (first name, surname(s), e-mail) and generate an electronic card.

• View the last posts by the user.

• See the public tools assigned to the user.

• Check whether the user is on line.

How do I use it?

1- Go to Members' area.

2- On the Members main page, click on the name of the member whose details you want to consult.

3- You will see a view showing personal details, latest posts, public tools assigned to the user and their contacts.

4- If you want to see their electronic card, click on Generate electronic card. This will show you the following information:

• Name (the name appearing in the editing window).

• Nickname (an abbreviation or alias for the real name).

• Additional information, such as postal address, phone number or URL.

Note: vCards is a standard format which brings together all a member's details. This means that, after accessing someone's electronic card, you can import their details to address books which are compatible with vCards, such as Netscape Communicator, Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, Mozilla Mail and Mozilla Thunderbird, and others, so you do not have to rewrite or reformat the information you have about your contacts.
