Logo Grups How to access your groups
What is it?

The groups page shows My groups and Other portal groups. You have access to the former because you are a member and the latter may be accessed by anyone. The colour codes you will see on the groups page tell you whether the group is private or not. If you are an administrator or moderator, these roles will be shown beside the name of the group.

If the portal does not have any public groups you will not see the Other portal groups option.

On the Groups page there are options to show My groups and All groups. The first option lists the groups you belong to, while the second lists both those you belong to and public groups, which are visible to everyone.

The icons tell you if groups are private or not and which ones you belong to. If you are a moderator or administrator, your role is also shown, beside the name of the group.

What's it for?

This option allows you to see at a glance all the groups you can access.

Once you are in your group you can see all its details and take part in it.

How do I use it?

1- Go to the Groups area.

2- The main Groups page has a pull-down menu with the options My Groups and All Groups.

3- The icons show you whether the group is private or not and whether you are a member or not:

Icona Grup públic You are a group member

Icona Grup privat Private group

Once you are in your group, the menu on the left offers different options:

Group:

•  Main page: If you click on this option, you will see the main page designed for this particular group.

•  Members: This option takes you to a list of registered users of the portal who are members of the group.

•  E-mail list: If you are a member of a group you can contact all the group members at the same time. Click on Send e-mail to send an e-mail to all the members listed.

•  Sub-groups: In this section you will find lists of sub-groups within the group. A sub-group can be set up to deal in greater depth with a particular field covered by the group, but without necessarily involving all the members of the main group. For example, in the Family Mediation group there may be a working group concerned with new trends in Family Mediation.

•  Properties: In this section the group's properties are described in more detail.

Contents:

This option provides a menu listing the group's own material.
