From the Edit profile area you can modify your profile as many times as you like, adding and removing information.
It is important to remember that the basic profile determines how visible your personal details are on the platform. A level of visibility is set for each piece of information (the information in a particular field can be public or private). The administrator can set default levels and decide whether users can modify them.
The standard information you can record is:
1- Personal information:
These include your user details: first name and surname, sex, date of birth, ID number and the language you would normally like to work in on the platform (you can choose between interfaces in Catalan, Spanish or English); the first three fields are required.
2- Messenging: If you use a messenging program (Skype, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, MSN, etc.), you can enter your contact details.
From the Members area, using the Members on line option, those using your portal or belonging to your group will be able to see that you are logged on to e-Catalunya and contact you via the messenging system(s) you use.
3- The visibility option which allows other members to see whether you are logged on, using Specific information about the portal. The administrators of each portal can set up additional fields for personal information. |
